Yes I know what your thinking, how could lava cake be vegan?! I thought the same thing, and then I went searching on good ol' Google for recipes and this is the first of three I'm going to try (I'll let you know how the others go) Well, it was good! I know it isn't oozing right out at you in this photo, but that's because I didn't want to eat it piping hot, it was hot enough to melt the Coolwhip though (which is happily vegan! I much prefer it to real cream)
So I know there are quite a few pics here, but I got a bit cupcake happy :P Well these yummy coffee cupcakes have coffee custard piped inside and coffee frosting swirled high on top. No way, I don't love coffee at all! ;P Oh and by the way, these little buddies are decaf! :)
Ok so this stuff is GOOD. As proof, my brother passed it out to some of his carnivorous friends and they wouldn't believe him when he said it was vegan. Mmmm thank you PETA mag! I used Morningstar farms "chicken" strips.
Coffee ice cream! My favorite. (Super close with green tea and pralines though) I decided to dig out the ol ice cream maker for some homemade vegan ice cream. Basically anything can be made into ice cream of the sort with an ice cream maker. Well, this turned out a bit more on the icey side ice cream, because I got impatient after about 2+ hours and decided to just freeze it as is, like soft serve kind of. But hey I loved how it turned out, and it's super yummy! Coconut milk is the secret I think.
I got this recipe in this months issue of Animal Times (PETA) and it is amazing! I thought I'd never find a decent recipe for non cheese mac and cheese that actually resembled the real stuff, well this is it!(Sorry about the bluryness of the first pic, bad lighting)
I love pasta salad. And actually I only like vegan pasta salad, not regular. And I have always been in love with kiwis, I just love how they look! And of course they taste great :)
If you could call it that, it doesn't really resemble the real stuff at all I just call it mac and cheese :) It is realllly good though, I make it with margarine, nutritional yeast flakes, garlic powder, onion powder, and season salt oh and if I have it on hand shredded jalapeno jack "cheese" . I don't measure I just have skills:P (and years of expertise) Hehe .
Mmmmm my first cupcake recipe from my new vegan cupcake book, and how were they? Amazing! All my very non vegan family members (and not family members) raved about them :) And aren't they cute?
Hello all my fellow bloggers and food lovers :) I recently became vegan again after a few years of "rebelling" from being raised vegan, but now I'm back at it because I feel healthier and I care so much about all the innocent animals harmed in the process of making all the foods that we really shouldn't be eating anyway. So I decided to make a blog about all the yummy vegan (vee -gan ) food I eat since it's simply delicious and good for you. And cruelty free!! And because I'm tired of hearing "Omg your vegan? What do you eat?!" So I hope you enjoy and I hope you aren't one of THOSE people that give us vegans/vegetarians out there a hard time. (Please be nice!) And if you would like any recipe, just ask! :) Also all pictures are taken by me.
